Common Grace is a ministry of Lakeview Moravian Community Church & Zion Faith Community (ELCA). We believe that building relationships of love, compassion, and mutual care will help bring peace and justice to our neighborhood and the world.   This ministry is the coming together of two congregations — not merging, but collaborating — to create space for life-giving, community work and to build relationships that make positive impact on our neighborhood through love and service.

Our vision is actually a much larger sense of Common Grace.  We are working towards a building renovation that creates space for more community partners to do vital work for the health and wellness of our community.  While the two faith communities and the preschool will be anchor organizations in the building, plans lean more toward a ‘community center’ model, rather than a ‘church model’.  We hope to partner with groups of similar missions, some who may need a landing place for their everyday operations and others who will need rehearsal, lesson, performance and meeting space.  After six years of having a greater number of community folks use the building on a weekly basis, than the small church congregation, we are convinced that the neighborhood needs a community-focused presence on the triangle so that organizations so that organizations — that bring us together and make life better — will have safe space to do good work for all.
